Who makes it

About: built by a casino dealer.

Riffle & Box is built by a dealer who used to write software for a living.

Jeff Quizon, founder

Riffle & Box is built by Jeff Quizon, a casino dealer who also happens to be a software engineer.

Jeff studied mechanical engineering and worked in the field for a few years before moving into software in 2014. He spent the next several years as a backend engineer, building web apps in Ruby on Rails and Elixir.

In 2021 he started dealing casino parties around the Bay Area. That led to dealing poker and then to the casino floor, dealing poker and table games at Bay Area casinos. He still deals private poker games.

Learning craps at party gigs, Jeff found almost nothing to practice on before a live table. Most professions have a textbook people learn from and come back to, and dealing didn’t. As a dealer who is also a software engineer, he set out to build one: a place every dealer can learn the game, drill it, and come back to brush up.

Riffle & Box is the result: casino dealer training apps for poker, table games and craps that drill the payouts, procedures and calls a dealer needs, plus a dashboard that shows schools, casinos and party companies who’s ready for the table.

Jeff runs Riffle & Box from Concord, California.
