What do the one-roll prop bets and the hardways pay in craps?
Any seven pays 4 to 1, any craps 7 to 1, the 2 and 12 pay 30 to 1 and the 3 and 11 pay 15 to 1. A hard 4 or hard 10 pays 7 to 1, and a hard 6 or hard 8 pays 9 to 1.

A one-roll prop wins or loses on the next roll. The stick books them from the center of the layout and tells the base what to pay.
C & E
C & E is two units: one on any craps, one on the 11. It’s paid net of the losing unit. A $4 C & E has $2 on each. A 2, 3 or 12 pays the $2 at 7 to 1, $14, minus the $2 that lost on the 11: $12. An 11 pays the $2 at 15 to 1, $30, minus $2: $28. On a $10 C & E the numbers are $30 on a craps number and $70 on an 11.
Hardways
A hardway wins if the number rolls as a pair, such as 3-3 for a hard 6. It loses to a 7 or to the number rolled the easy way, such as 4-2.
Hardways are off on the come-out roll unless the player calls them on.
Hops
A hop is one roll on one exact pair of dice. An easy hop such as 2-4 pays 15 to 1. A hard hop such as 3-3 pays 30 to 1.
House rules vary
- “To” and “for”. A layout that says 30 for 1 means 29 to 1. The numbers here are “to”.
- Prop pays. Casinos set their own: any craps is often 7 to 1, but the 2, 3, 11 and 12 can pay less than the numbers here. Read the layout.
- Hardways on the come-out. We default to off. A casino may leave them working.
